A small town situated in the South Bohemian Region and UNESCO World Heritage site can boast a giant castle built into a cliff overlooking the meandering river Vltava below. On the way to the castle, wander through winding cobblestone streets and spend some crowns in numerous shops offering local ceramics and other beautiful artistic objects.

Make sure to peek at the castle bear near the entrance of the castle, after passing the bear, you will come to the main entrance where you can climb the greatly painted tower and get an amazing view of the town. Afterwards, keep passing through the various courtyards decorated with fresco paintings. Continue along to the giant stone bridge, which is lined with statues, leading to the famous Baroque Theatre, which is worth getting a tour inside. Then walk up to the castle´s beautifully maintained gardens. If you visit Český Krumlov in summer, you can get tickets for a play or an opera at their famous revolving theater.
